WHAT IS WISDOM ?

The Following Study Article Is Composed From Preliminary Study Notes As I Progressively Step Through A Biblical Word Study On “The Cornerstone”. All References Are To The KJV.

Wisdom is the wisdom of God (see Rom 11:33);  it is first pure (see Jas 3:17 ) ; it is peaceable ( see Jas 3:17 ); it is gentle ( see Jas 3:17) ; it is easy to be entreated ( see Jas 3:17 ); it is full of mercy ( see Jas 3:17) ; it is full of good fruits (see Jas 3:17) ; it is without partiality (see Jas 3:17) ; and it is without hypocrisy ( see Jas 3:17).

Wisdom is understanding ( see Job 38:36 , 39:17, Psalm 49:3 , Prov 2:2, Prov 2:6, Prov 3:13 , Prov 4:5 , Prov 4:7 , Prov 5:1 , Prov 7:4 , Prov 8:1 , Prov 8:5 , Prov 8:14, Prov 14:6, Prov 14:33 , Prov 17:24, Prov 19:8 , Prov 21:30, Prov 23:23 , Is 11:12, Dan 1:20, Dan 2:21 , Dan 5:11, Dan 5:14, 1 Co 1:19 , Rev 13:18) ; it is the words of understanding ( see Prov 1:2 ); it is spiritual understanding (see Col 1:9) ;  and it is the understanding of science ( see Dan 1:4).

Wisdom is knowledge ( see Job 34:35, Prov 1:7, Prov 2:6 , Prov 2:10, Prov 14:6 , Is 11:12, Dan 1:4 , Dan 2:21) ;  it is the knowledge of the holy (see Prov 9:10, Prov 30:3); it is the knowledge of God (see Rom 11:33); and it is the finder of knowledge ( see Prov 8:12 ).

Wisdom is counsel (see Prov 21:30, Is 11:12, Jer 49:7 , Dan 2:14 ); it is instruction ( see Prov 1:2, Prov 1:7 , Prov 23:23 ); it is truth (see Ps 51:6, Prov 23:23) ; it is light (see Dan 5:11, Dan 5:14) ; it is judgment (see Psalm 37:30) ;  it is the judgments of God ( see Rom 11:33);  it is prudence (see Prov 8:12, Eph 1:8); it is discretion (see Prov 3:21); it is the finder of discretion (see Prov. 8:12 ); it is the ways of God (see Rom11:33); it is might (see Is 11: 12 ) ; it is power (see 1 Co 2:5) ; it is sound ( see Prov 3:21) ; and it is the reason of things ( Ecc 7:25) .

Wisdom is with the ancient ( see Job 12:12 ) ; it is with the lowly (see Prov 11:2);  and it is with the well advised ( see Prov 13:10) .

Wisdom is in length of days (see Job 12:2); it is in the correct numbering of our days (see Ps 90:12, Rev 13:18); and it is in the correct numbering of the beast (see Rev 13:18).

Wisdom is to depart from evil ( see Job 28:28); and it is the fear of the Lord ( see Job 28:28 , Is 11:2).

Wisdom is the principal thing (see Prov 4:7); it is incomparably better than anything else to be desired ( see Prov 8:11); and it is the desire of your own soul (see Prov 19:8).

Wisdom is Christ ( see 1 Co 1:24, 1 Co 1:30).
