The Following Study Article Is Composed From Preliminary Study Notes As I Progressively Step Through A Biblical Word Study On “The Cornerstone”. All References Are To The KJV.
The will of God is to be proved ( i.e. tested, examined, scrutinized ) by us ( see Rom 12:2); and it is that we be transformed by the renewing of our minds ( see Rom 12:2) .
The will of God our Father accorded that our Lord Jesus Christ give himself for our sins , that he might deliver us from this present evil world ( see Gal 1:4) ; it is that that we be not conformed to this world ( see Rom 12:2); and it is that the Holy Spirit make intercession for the saints ( see Rom 8:27) .
The will of God is our sanctification ( see 1 Th 4:3) ; it is our call unto holiness, not uncleanness ( see 1 Th 4:3-7 ); it is that each of us should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honor ( see 1 Th 4:4) ; it is that each of us should possess his vessel not in the lust of concupiscence ( i.e. a longing for what is forbidden) ( see 1 Th 4:5 ); and it is that we not live the rest of our time in the flesh to the lusts of men ( see 1 Pet 4:2).
The will of God it is that we abstain from fornication ( see 1 Th 4:3) ; and it is that no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter ( see 1 Th 4:6).
The will of God it is that we be servants of Christ from the heart , not with eye service, as men pleasers ( see Eph 6:6); and it is that the servants of Christ stand perfect and complete ( see Col 4:12).
The will of God is done by brothers, sisters and mothers in Christ ( see Mark 3:35 ); it is done by those who serve others in accord with His will ( see Acts 13:36 ); and it is that he that does his will abide forever ( see 1 Jo 2:17 )
The will of God is through which we are called to our own particular mission in Jesus Christ , according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus ( see 1 Co 1:1; 2 Co 1:1; Eph 1:1; Col 1:1; 2 Tim 1:1); it is by which we give ourselves to the Lord and to others, ministering to the saints ( see 2 Co 8:4,5 ); and it is the means by which we have spiritually fruitful, prosperous journeys among others ( see Rom 1:10-13; Rom 15:32).
The will of God is that we put to silence the ignorance of foolish men through well doing ( see 1 Pet 2:15); it is that we commit the keeping of our souls to him in well doing as unto a faithful Creator, even if we suffer in accord with so doing ( see 1 Pet 4:19) ; and it is that we give thanks in everything ( see 1 Th 5:18).
The will of God is perfect ( see Rom 12:2) ; it is good ( see Rom 12:2) ; and it is acceptable ( see Rom 12:2).
