The Following Study Article Is Composed From Preliminary Study Notes As I Progressively Step Through A Biblical Word Study On “The Cornerstone”.  All References Are To The KJV.

The cornerstone is the head stone of the corner ( see Psalm 118:22; Matt 21:42, Mark 12:10 , Luke 20:17; Acts 4:11, 1 Peter 2:7 ) ; it is a stone (see Isaiah 28:16) ; it is a tried stone (see Isaiah 28:16); it is a precious corner stone (see Isaiah 28:16, 1 Peter 2:6); it is a chief cornerstone laid in Zion (see 1 Peter 2:6) ; it is the stone which the builders refused (see Psalm 118:22); it is the stone set at nought of you builders ( see Acts 4:11) ; it is the stone which the builders disallowed (see 1 Peter 2:7) ;  and it is the stone which the builders rejected (see Matt 21:42 , Mark 12:10, Luke 20:17 ) .

The cornerstone is elect (see 1 Peter 2:6) ; it is laid in Zion for a foundation (see Isaiah 28:16) ; it is the foundation of the apostles and prophets (see Ephesians 2:20) ; it is a sure foundation (see Isaiah 28:16) ; and it is Jesus Christ Himself (see Ephesians 2:20) .
