The Following Study Article Is Composed From Preliminary Study Notes As I Progressively Step Through A Biblical Word Study On “The Cornerstone”. All References Are To The KJV.
To be justified is to have an ordered cause ( see Job 13:18 ); and it involves a presentation of truth ( see Is 43:9 ).
To be justified is to be a doer of the law (see Rom 2:14); and it is to be clean in God’s sight (see Job 25:4) .
To be justified in God’s sight is not done by the deeds of the flesh; for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God ( see Rom 3:20, 23 ) ; it is not by the law in the sight of God ( see Gal 3:11) ; it is not by the works of the law ( see Gal 2:16); and it is not by the works of righteousness that we have done ( see Tit 3:5).
To be one justified by the law is to be one who is a debtor to do the whole law ( see Gal 5:3,4) ; and to be one justified by the law is to be one fallen from grace ( see Gal 5:3,4).
To be justified is by faith ( see Rom 5:1, Gal 3:24, Jas 2:23,24 ); it is to live by faith ( see Gal 3:11) ; it is to be accomplished by faith without the deeds of the law (see Rom 3:28); it is by faith shown by works ( see Jas 2:18, 20,21,22,24) ; it is by faith wrought with works ( see Jas 2:21,22,24 ) ; and it is by faith perfected by works ( see Jas 21,22,24 ) .
To be justified is by faith in Jesus Christ ( see Gal 2:16) ; it is done by God through belief in Jesus ( see Rom 3:26); it is to believe upon him that justifies the ungodly ( see Rom 4:5 ) ; it is to believe in the work of Jesus ( see Acts 13:39,41) ; and it is to be made righteous by the obedience of Jesus Christ ( see Rom 5:19).
To be justified is by Christ’s blood and death ( see Rom 5:6,9); it is done freely by God’s grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus , whom God has set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood ( see Rom 3:24, 25 ) ; it is to be reconciled to God by the death of His Son ( see Rom 5:10) ; and it is to have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ ( see Rom 5:1) .
To be justified it is to be saved by the mercy of God ( see Titus 3:4,5) ; it is to have humbly accepted God’s mercy as a sinner ( see Luke 18:11), it is to be saved from wrath through Christ ( see Rom 5:9); and it is to be saved by the life of God’s Son ( see Rom 5:10) .
To be justified is by the grace of God ( see Tit 3:7) ; it is to receive abundance of grace by Jesus Christ ( see Rom 5 17) ; it is to have righteousness unto eternal life by the grace of Jesus Christ our Lord ( see Rom 3:21) ; it is to receive the gift of righteousness by Jesus Christ ( see Rom 5:17) ; and it is to joy in God through our receipt of the free gift of atonement by our Lord Jesus Christ ( see Rom 5:11,15 ,16,18 ).
To be justified is to be blessed by God with forgiveness for your iniquities ( see Rom 4 :6, 7 ); it is to be blessed by God with a covering for your sins ( see Rom 4: 6,7) ; and it is to have Christ making intercession for you at the right hand of God ( see Rom 8:34) .
To be justified is to be baptized with the baptism of John ( see Luke 7:29) ; it is to have been baptized into Christ ( see Gal 3:27) ; and it is to have put on Christ ( see Gal 3:27).
To be justified is by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost, shed abundantly upon us by God through Jesus Christ our Saviour ( see Tit 3:5,6) ; it is to be washed in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of God ( see 1 Cor 6:11); it is to be sanctified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of God ( see 1 Cor 6:11) ; it is that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith ( see Gal 3:14 ); and it is to stand in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free (see Gal 5:1) .
To be justified is to be justified by God ( see Rom 8;30,33 ); it is to be counted righteous through belief in God, not through works ( see Rom 4:2,3,6 ) ; it is to be blessed by God with an imputed righteousness without works ( see Rom 4:6 ) ; it is to be imputed righteousness because of our faith ( see Rom 4:11, 13,22 ; Jas 2:23,24 ) ; it is to be imputed righteousness because of our belief on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead, who was delivered up for our offenses, and was raised again for our justification ( see Rom 4:24, 25 ) ; and it is to be one without any imputation of sin by the Lord ( see Rom 4:8 ) .
To be justified is to be predestined to be conformed to the image of God’s Son; so that God’s Son may be the firstborn among many brethren ( see Rom 8:29,30); it is to be called by God according to His purpose ( see Rom 8:28, 30 ); it is to be elected by God ( see Rom 8:33) ; and it is to be glorified by God ( see Rom 8:30).
To be justified is to be Abraham’s seed, heir according to the promise ( see Gal 3:29); it is to be made an heir according to the hope of eternal life ( see Titus 3:4,7) ; it is to be a member of the seed of Israel ( see Is 45:25); it is to have the blessing of Abraham through faith in Jesus Christ ( see Gal 3:14) ; it is to be a child of the righteous faith in God of Abraham (see Rom 4:11,13,16) ; it is to be a child of God through faith in Christ Jesus ( see Gal 3:26); and it is to walk in the steps of the faith of Abraham ( see Rom 4:12).
To be justified is to have God for you ( see Rom 8:31) ; it is to be a friend of God ( see James 2 :23,24) ; it is to love God ( see Rom 8:28,30) ; it is to be united with the love of Christ ( see Rom 8 :35) ; and it is to have righteousness, strength and glory in the Lord ( see Is 45:24-25).
To be justified is to be more than conquerors over tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril, sword, death, life, angels, principalities, powers, things present, things to come, height, depth, or any other creature, through the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord ( see Rom 8:37-39 ); and it is to be never separated by tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril, sword, death, life, angels, principalities, powers, things present, things to come, height, depth, or any other creature, from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord ( see Rom 8:35, 37-39 ).
